This is the earliest known marriage register for Brighton & Hove Hebrew Congregration and records marriages which took place at Devonshire Place Synagogue between 1824 and 1875, and Middle Street Synagogue after its opening in September 1875.
Some marriages also took place in people's homes.
No marriage records have been found relating to Brighton & Hove's first two synagogues at Jew Street (North Laine) and Pounes Court (off West Street).
